Description: Students will meet with communications director and fisheries biologist Erin Loury for a presentation, discussion, and Q&A about FISHBIO’s fisheries research, monitoring, and conservation work in California, Southeast Asia, and Costa Rica (10:00-11:00). This will be followed by a discussion and demonstration of FISHBIO’s communications activities through blog posts, video, and social media (11:00-11:30). Students will then meet with fisheries biologist Jack Eschenroeder, who will explain some of the technologies FISHBIO regularly uses in the field, and demonstrate video review of footage from one of FISHBIO’s fish monitoring cameras.
